Heidi and Arthur Do Kyoto

We went in March of '05 I think. It was the end of winter. We loved it!

Our hotel room. This is in a Ryokan which is a traditional Japanese guest house. This room was where we ate and slept.
Dinner the first night.
After dinner, they move the table out of the way and lay out the beds.
Our little sitting area and zen garden.
The hallways to the rooms are outside.
A cool alley filled with restaurants and bars
There are temples like this tucked all over the city.
This cemetary was tucked in between a bunch of office buildings.
Traditional Geisha
This pagoda is from like 1000. That's old!
